Events

The third edition of the Technical Quantum Sensing Event will take place on 14 October at De Doelen, Rotterdam, from 09:30 to 16:30.

The one-day event brings together the quantum sensing ecosystem, including researchers, companies, and government representatives, for a day full of insight, connection and inspiration.
 
The programme offers a mix of perspectives:

- A presentation from the European Commission on the broader vision and strategy for quantum sensing in Europe

- An industry perspective on the real-world deployment of quantum sensors, presented by one of the companies active in our ecosystem

- The latest results from leading labs, alongside a look at ambitious, forward-looking projects shaping the future of the field
 
Throughout the day, there will be plenty of room to connect. Posters and booths will feature researchers, companies, and other organisations sharing their work in the field. The day will close with a networking borrel.

Quantum Sensing Tech Event

Quantum companies often operate with long development cycles, significant R&D requirements and uncertain commercialisation timelines. Building a robust financial model - and being able to explain the assumptions behind it - is therefore an important part of becoming investment-ready.

In this informative session, we will update you on the latest developments in quantum communication infrastructure. We’ll bring you up to date on the latest details and developments of the BeneluxQCI project and hope to inspire you.

This gathering is particularly relevant to experts working in the field of quantum communication, connecting European facility projects, potential users, local vendors and startups.

Benelux quantum communication infrastructure (QCI) event

Last year’s Delft Quantum Showcase was a great success, and this year, QuTech and QDNL Delft are building on it.

The 2026 edition will take place on 27 October and will again bring together the entire academic and business quantum community in Delft in one space during the afternoon expo. Expect even more parties than last year, as the quantum community in Delft has grown to an impressive 1,100+ professionals.

A new addition to this year’s Showcase is a morning symposium running from 10:00 to 12:30. It will cover four main topics: quantum & AI, quantum applications, quantum & Dual Use, and ecosystems. The expo will take place in the afternoon, between 13:30 and 17:30, and will be rounded off with drinks.

Delft Quantum Showcase 2026

Quantum computers promise to solve problems classical machines can't — but what's the energy cost of getting there? The Centre for Quantum and Society and the Quantum Energy Initiative, are bringing the community together in Delft to tackle quantum computing's own energy footprint head-on.

The goal: get real data on the table, share best practices, and make sure the people who'll actually run this hardware, like HPC centers, have a seat at the table from day one.

Why you should be in the room:

Academics — The field is short on hard metrics. Help define what "good data" even looks like, from thermodynamics to economics.

Industry vendors — Shape the IEEE standard while it's still being written. Early input protects your market access and puts you face-to-face with end-users.

HPC centers — Integration decisions and vendor roadmaps are coming. Get your requirements on record before they're locked in.

Policymakers — See where the data is solid, where the gaps are, and where smart policy can actually move the needle.

From Spin-out to Investment: Legal Essentials for Quantum Founders
​Thinking about spinning out a quantum company, or already taking your first steps as a founder? This session is designed to help quantum founders and founders-to-be understand the key legal foundations of starting and structuring a company.

​We’re joined by Isabelle Verhaegh and Jaap van den Broek from DZVA, one of the Netherlands’ leading deep-tech law firms with extensive experience in the quantum ecosystem.

​They will take us through the legal steps involved in moving from university spin-out to an investment-ready company, including the agreements, governance and IP arrangements founders should think about early on.
